What can you tell me about the Senior Pastor?

Pastor Randy O'Brien has been the Senior Pastor at Meadow Creek Church since 2006. He and his wife Maureen (Moe) came to us from Grace Church of Eden Prairie.
Randy and Moe were married Grace Church. From there they moved to Chicago so that Randy could finish his B.A. at Moody Bible Institute. After 1 year in Chicago, they packed up again and moved to Denver where Randy completed his M.Div degree at Denver Seminary. Both of their children J.D. (Jonathan David) and Erin were born in Denver during those years.
Since Seminary, the O’Briens have served in 4 different churches
• a new church plant in Maple Grove
• Interim Pastor, then Associate Pastor at Grace Church of Richfield
• Pastor of Milford Baptist Church, Milford, IA
• Pastor of Connecting Ministries at Grace Church since Oct, 95
The O’Briens have endured 12 moves and have lived in 4 states over the past 19 years.
Moe is very involved in ministry at Grace Church. She serves on the Ministry Staff as database administrator, and plays a significant role in the lives of other ministry staff wives.
Randy enjoys reading, fly-fishing for trout, and bird hunting. Moe enjoys reading and creating things with her hands. An activity they like to do together is bike riding around the lakes and walks in the neighborhood with Madison, their Springer Spaniel.

What does Meadow Creek Church have for children?

The children's ministry of Meadow Creek is an extension of the home. We are partners and resources for parents. We want to provide a caring environment with opportunities for all our children to learn and experience that they are worthwhile, capable, unique and unconditionally loved. We believe these needs are fully met within the context of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; therefore it it's our mission to teach our children Biblical truths and principles in age-appropriate ways. We want all teachers to take seriously the responsibility of presenting the Gospel clearly and providing frequent opportunities for children in elementary grades to accept Jesus as their personal Savior.

What kind of programs are available for youth?

Meadow Creek's ministry to teens involves a trained staff, working together in a team concept. Several lay volunteers work with our Minister to Youth in Junior High and Senior High to ensure that teens receive personal attention. Activities and programs are designed to accommodate the range of teen needs-from entry level socials where teens come just to meet other teens-to small groups where teens apply the Scriptures to their own life situations. Camps, retreats and short-term mission experiences round out a program designed to meet teens where they are spiritually while leading them on to maturity.
